The project developed a comprehensive, factual online educational resource for the purpose of sharing and passing on the lessons from the terrible events of history.
The resources include a video documentary animation (38 minutes); a video lecture (60 minutes); as well as video presentations and transcripts of public lectures given in Sarajevo on 28 May 2015. The themes of the public lectures were 12 aspects of the Srebrenica genocide. As all of the material is available in English, the education pack is a unique platform for knowledge transfer. The universal education model is designed for students, institutions, universities, researchers, libraries around the world.

On the one hand, we identify a conscious destruction of history’s great moral issues, resulting in an intellectual irrelevance of the historian himself, who becomes unable not only of thinking about society, but also of his own scholarship. On the other hand, new readings of history led by aggressive overzealous historians reduced history to a nihilistic category in which nothing of what happened actually happened, and everything we used to know we no longer do. The result is that generations of schoolchildren are being poisoned by a subject called history. For decades a war of interpretation has been waged in this region. In the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with numerous special interests, it is easy to overlook the simplicity of the truth - which is clear when you consider only the facts.
As our contribution to determining the facts, as opposed to the existing political manipulation of history in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, we are presenting the project/education pack “School of Knowledge: Srebrenica - Mapping Genocide and the Post-Genocide Society”. The education pack was prepared in several formats, taking into consideration various possibilities of presenting the lectures and their aim, and bearing in mind different target groups (students, Internet users, organizations, educational institutions, libraries, thematic conferences).
The School of Knowledge is seeking a transformation of education about the war, genocide and urban / civic / cultural resistance into a universal educational model through a unique platform for knowledge transfer. A methodology that detects “early warning signs” which break through the “information noise” to train individuals and equip society with the means to prevent the escalation of future/potential conflicts over the point of no return.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is still, like the entire region which includes the former Yugoslav countries, even 20 years after the war (1992-95) suffering from its consequences, while the everyday life of all former republics is marked by the problems of overcoming the past that are reflected in the issues of justice, remembrance, denial and reconciliation.
